ANOTHER Disney Princess favourite is getting a live-action remake

One of our favourite Disney Princesses, Snow White, is getting a live-action remake.

Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs was Disney’s first animated feature film, having been released all the way back in 1937. It also won an honorary Oscar at the 11th Academy Awards and is considered one of the most successful animated films of all time.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Girl on the Train screenwriter Erin Cressida Wilson has signed up to write the adaptation.

Meanwhile, songwriters Benj Pasek and Justin Paul will reportedly pen brand new songs for the movie.

There have been several adaptations of the classic tale over the years, including 2012’s Mirror Mirror, which starred Julia Roberts and Lily Collins – and Snow White and the Huntsman, which starred Kristen Stewart and Chris Hemsworth.

The news comes after the success of Disney’s previous live-action remakes including Cinderella, The Jungle Book and Maleficent.

Meanwhile, the much-anticipated remake of Beauty and The Beast, starring Emma Watson, is due out next March.
