Wiz Khalifa has thanked fans for their love and support after the death of his sister.
Dorien “Lala” Thomaz, who was transgender, passed away on Monday at the age of 32. A cause of death has not been revealed.
“The loss of my sibling has been the hardest thing I’ve had to deal with but with your prayers and well wishes my family will get though this,” he tweeted on Friday.

The previous day the rapper had shared, “When you find someone who understands you and sets their personal needs aside to find out yours that’s a beautiful thing.”
After asking friends for prayers on Instagram, Wiz’s mother Katie “Peachie” Wimbush announced the death of her daughter and shared a moving quote from Steel Magnolia’s M’Lynn.
“… there was no noise, no tremble, just peace. Oh God(dess), I realized as a woman how lucky I am. I was there when that wonderful creature drifted into my life and I was there when she drifted out. It was the most precious moment of my life,” she wrote, adding, “I have seen, heard and felt every bit of your love.”
The obituary revealed that Lala “passed away peacefully with her Mother by her side on February 20, 2017.”
Earlier this week Wiz celebrated his son Sebastian’s fourth birthday with ex-wife Amber Rose.
