There’s plenty of new actors joining the cast of Riverdale for season two – including Hart Denton, who will play Betty Cooper’s (Lili Reinhart) long lost brother, Chic.
According to TVLine, viewers will be introduced to Chic Cooper midway through the upcoming season.
Chic’s existence was only revealed in the final episode of season one, when Alice (Mädchen Amick) confessed that she gave up a baby for adoption when she was in high school.
Other newcomers in season two of Riverdale include Mark Conseulos as Veronica’s (Camila Mendes) father Hiriam Lodge, and Graham Phillips as Nick St. Clair, an old friend of Veronica’s.
Charles Melton will take also take over the role of Reggie, as Ross Butler had to quit the show due to scheduling conflicts with Netflix’s 13 Reasons Why.
“I’m gonna give my best work that I can to the role of Reggie,” Charles told E! News.
“I understand if you’re a little apprehensive, but you know, I’m going to do Reggie a service, an honor, you know, ‘cause historically he’s an iconic character, so I’m going to do my best so hopefully I’m going to stop getting the #notmyreggie comments.”
