Janet Jackson has confirmed that she and her husband Wissam Al Mana have split, just months after the birth of their baby boy.
Rumours have been rife that the pair parted ways, and now the singer has finally addressed the reports in a candid YouTube video.
“I just want to keep it real with you guys for a second”, she explained.
“Yes, I separated from my husband. We are in court and the rest is in God’s hands.”
The 50-year-old, who married Qatari businessman Wissam in 2012, gave birth to her first child Eissa Al Mana on January 3.
In the video, Janet also revealed that she would be resuming her tour, which she postponed last April, on September 7 – which includes a date in Dublin’s 3Arena.
“I am continuing my tour, as I promised. I’m so excited you guys, so excited.”
Janet also gushed about her son in the short clip, and thanked fans for all their support.
“I thank God for him. He’s so healthy, so beautiful, so sweet, so loving – such a happy baby,” she said.
