Alicia Silverstone has responded to rumours of a Clueless reunion.
The actress who played Cher in the iconic film appeared on ‘The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon’ and discussed the possibility of a sequel with the host.
When asked by the presenter if there would be a follow-up movie for to the iconic 90’s film, the 41-year-old replied saying the director “has made it very clear that she does not want to do another one”.
However, the ‘American Woman’ actress revealed that a musical was in the works, stating that the director “is doing a musical on Broadway.”
Host Jimmy Fallon then jokingly pleaded with director Amy Heckerling on air, saying “Amy if you’re watching, people would love to see it”.
Alicia recently appeared on Lip Sync Battle, where she lip-synced to Iggy Azalea’s ‘Fancy’ in Cher’s classic yellow plaid outfit.
It has been 23 years since the film’s release, which has become a cult classic.
Speaking about the film to Variety last year, Alicia said that the film “changed my life. I’m proud of all the work on the screen, all the different artists who created [Clueless]. Super proud.”
