Victoria’s Secret model Kate Upton brands show a ‘snoozefest’ due to lack of body diversity

Kate Upton has branded the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show a “snoozefest” due to “the same body type” being seen on the catwalk.

During an appearance on Sunday’s Watch What Happens Live, the model was asked her thoughts on the rumour that the annual VSFS was cancelled this year.

“You know what? We’re sick of seeing the same body type,” the supermodel said.

“You have to be body inclusive now. Every woman needs to be represented otherwise it’s a snoozefest.”

Kate has modelled for the brand and walked in their fashion show previously.

Back in July, model Shanina Shaik told The Daily Telegraph that the show was not happening for 2019.

“Unfortunately the Victoria’s Secret show won’t be happening this year,” she said.

“It’s something I’m not used to because every year around this time I’m training like an angel. But I’m sure in the future something will happen, which I’m pretty sure about.”

Victoria’s Secret recently took a step towards diversifying their model representation by employing a transgender model.

On episode 31 of The Gosscast, Goss.ie Founder Ali Ryan sits down with RTE star Stephen Byrne.

From reporting from the red carpet at the Oscars to interviewing stars like Oprah, Stephen talks through the highs and lows of his career so far.

The Gosscast is sponsored by CraveCloset.com
