Thomas Markle has confirmed that he will testify against his daughter Meghan Markle in court.
The Duchess of Sussex is planning on suing The Daily Mail newspaper group for publishing a private letter that she wrote to her father in August 2018.
Legal documents seen by Sky News earlier this month show that The Mail on Sunday will rely on evidence from Thomas Markle in the case.
Her father has now confirmed that he will face his daughter in court if it comes to it, according to a new interview in The Sun.
“I wish it hadn’t come to this, but I will certainly testify against the things that have been said about me. The lies.”
“When me and Meghan end up in a courtroom together, it will be quite stunning for everybody.”
He also claimed that “everything will come out” in court.
“It will be emotional. I don’t know how we will both accept it.”
“It would be the worst place to have to meet her and Harry — but it might come down to that because I will certainly testify against the things that have been said about me. The lies.”
Representatives for both Meghan Markle and Thomas Markle have been contacted regarding the matter.
