Taylor Swift’s Reputation Tour has already raked in $180 million in ticket sales

The singer is making millions

Taylor Swift’s Reputation tour raked in a whopping $180 million in sales in its first week, it has been revealed.

According to Billboard, the 28-year-old’s upcoming tour has been hugely successful, despite outrage from fans over the price of tickets.

The singer is set to play two dates at Croke Park this summer, however, fans were left furious as tickets were costing them up to €700.

Tickets for her 33-show tour, which begins May 8 in Glendale, Arizona and runs through October 6 in Arlington, Texas, initially hit the market on December 13.

And according to reports from the US, ticket prices for her shows in North America were costing around $1,500 per VIP ticket, $800 for the pit, and $500 for a seat on the floor.

Billboard has also reported that Taylor is slated to add another eight shows onto her tour in cities already on the schedule.

Sources say the singer could still sell up to between $390 million and $510 million, which would rank in top all-time sales.

Insiders say Taylor and her team decided to increase the price of tickets as a result of scalpers and bots procuring a significant number of seats for her 2015 ‘1989’ tour and reselling them for huge profits.

This way, more money can be put back into the tour, rather than fans giving their money to scalpers.
