Taylor Swift has been granted a restraining order against a stalker who reportedly threatened to “rape” and “kill” her.
The 26-year-old man, Eric Swarbrick, has reportedly sent a number of threatening letters to the singer since 2016.
According to TMZ, some of the letters said: “I want to rape Taylor Swift. This is why I hate Taylor herself … This is how I know I am Taylor’s soulmate.”
The 26-year-old also threatened to kill Taylor and wrote: “I will not hesitate to kill her … and there’s nothing you, your lawyers, or the law will be about to do about it. Remember who I am.”
The letters sent to the 28-year-old have reportedly become a lot worse in recent months and the singer has become extremely scared of the threats made against her.
The judge ordered Eric to stop contacting the singer immediately and banned him from going near her or her home.
