Taraji P. Henson has revealed that she’s engaged.
The 47-year-old actress announced her engagement to boyfriend Kelvin Hayden on her Instagram and Twitter.
She showed off her fabulous circular diamond engagement ring to her nearly 12 million Instagram followers.
Taraji had only recently gone public with the American footballer in December of last year.
When asked why she decided to confirm the romance recently, Taraji told E! News, “It wasn’t even about talking about my life, I just had a question, they asked me if I was happy and I said ‘I’m very happy’ and they ran with it.”
Kelvin popped the question on Mothers Day, May 13, much to the surprise of Taraji – who said how she “almost passed out” when he got down on one knee.
The couple’s romance was first reported back in 2015, when the pair were spotted holding hands on a beach in Miami.
Taraji is best known for her role in the award winning TV series Empire, which she won a Golden Globe for back in 2016.
The actress is set to start filming her new film, What Men Want, later this year – which is based on the 2000 romantic comedy What Women Want. The film will also star Tracy Morgan and Aldis Hodge.
Taraji just recently shared a snap on her Instagram of her and Kelvin’s matching Cartier bracelets.
She captioned the Instagram with the hashtag, “#ForeverKindaLove.”
