American rapper A$AP Rocky has been keep in a Swedish prison for almost four weeks.
The musician was detained following an alleged altercation and incident of assault that Swedish authorities are currently investigating.
Donald Trump recently pledged to help free the musician, after being reportedly made aware of his detainment by Kanye West and Kim Kardashian.
The POTUS arranged a telephone call with the Prime Minister of Sweden Stefan Lofven to ensure that he was being held under humane conditions.
Toni Eriksson, Mr. Lofven’s press secretary, said in a statement to the New York Times that the phone call was “friendly and respectful.”
Mr. Lofven “underlined that in Sweden everyone is equal before the law and that the government cannot and will not attempt to influence the legal proceedings.”
The call is said to have lasted for 20 minutes, and came following claims that the rapper was being subjected to inhumane conditions.
