Scooter Braun congratulates Taylor Swift on ‘brilliant’ new album after ownership row

The music manager has extended an olive branch

Scooter Braun has congratulated Taylor Swift on her “brilliant” new album, after they got into a very public row earlier this year.

The singer branded the music manager as a “bully” back in May, after his company Ithaca Holdings bought Big Machine Label Group – which owns the rights to Taylor’s back catalogue.

Despite their public war of words, Scooter has reached out to Taylor this morning to congratulate her on the release of her seventh studio album – which is the first record she’s released since leaving Big Machine Records.

He tweeted: “Regardless of what has been said the truth is you don’t make big bets unless you are a believer and always have been.”

“Brilliant album with #Lover. Congrats @taylorswift13. Supporting was always the healthier option ???? #brilliantalbum #brilliantcampaign congrats.”

Taylor has not yet responded to Scooter’s olive branch, but her fans have got plenty to say on Twitter.

One fan replied: “If you support her then you’d give her masters back r*t.”

Another wrote: “Quit acting like you’re the bigger person when you were joking about ‘Buying Taylor Swift’ a month ago.”
