Scarlett Johansson and Romain Dauriac are putting on a united front amid their divorce.
The former couple – who were revealed to have split in January – both attended the Singular Object Art Opening cocktail reception at 53W53 Gallery in New York City on Wednesday.
People published a photo of Scarlett flashing a smile as she posed with her ex, a month after filing for divorce.
It comes as a surprise to see them together, as Romain asked Scarlett to withdraw her divorce petition for the sake of their two-year-old daughter Rose after she filed the papers in court in March.

“It is indeed unfortunate, especially for our daughter, that Scarlett filed in court and made our personal differences so public,” he said. “I would implore her to withdraw her action promptly and to go back, as uncomfortable as it might be, to the negotiating table.”
Meanwhile Scarlett, who married the French journalist in 2014 and is said to have separated from him last summer, insisted she will not be publicly commenting on the split.
“As a devoted mother and private person and with complete awareness that my daughter will one day be old enough to read the news about herself, I would only like to say that I will never, ever be commenting on the dissolution of my marriage,” she said in a statement.
“Out of respect for my desires as a parent and out of respect for all working moms, it is with kindness that I ask other parties involved and the media to do the same. Thank you.”
