Rihanna’s wildly popular brand Fenty x Puma looks like it could be facing a major lawsuit from competitor Freedom United.

The sportswear giant was sent a cease and desist letter from Freedom United in January that claims they copied the brand’s trademark “FU” design.  It ordered Puma to immediately halt production of all “F.U.” gear.

The “FU” on Freedom United’s products represented the initials of the brand, while the “F.U.” on Fenty x Puma’s products represented “Fenty University”.

Puma responded two months later claiming that their design didn’t infringe on Freedom United because they used a different font.

Now Freedom United is allegedly planning to file a lawsuit against Puma.

The Fenty x Puma collaboration has been a huge success for both the singer and the brand. The clothing collaboration was the second time the Diamonds singer worked with Puma following their sell-out sneaker collaboration, the Creeper.

Rihanna has since set her business brain on the makeup industry with a record-breaking line of products and more recently she announced a lingerie line.
