Alec Baldwin claims in his new memoir Nevertheless that he “erupted” at filmmakers when he found out his co-star Nikki Reed was underage when they worked on their racy 2006 movie Mini’s First Time.
But the movie’s producer and director have both poured water on the actor’s comments, claiming he was well-aware of how old the young starlet was.
“My first indie film was Mini’s starring @AlecBaldwin who knew @NikkiReed_I_Am was 16 (not 17) and he didn’t mind,” producer Dana Brunetti revealed in a series of tweets.

“In fact @NikkiReed_I_Am was 1 of 4 actresses @AlecBaldwin had approved and her being the only 1 of those 4 repped by HIS own agency CAA.”
Dana also revealed that Alec only shouted at him one time over an entirely different matter, and said three other crew members had been in touch with him to say that he knew how old Nikki was.
“If @AlecBaldwin had simply said in his book he didn’t know @NikkiReed_I_Am’s age, I would let it go,” he went on. “However to say that when he found out after filming he yelled at the producers (I being 1 on the film) makes it out to seem we did wrong.

“So to summarize, @AlecBaldwin knew NikkiReed_I_Am was 16, didn’t find out AFTER filming, and did not yell at us … If Alec wanted to lie, fine, but to then to throw us under the bus while doing so? Not on my watch.”
And director Nick Guthe agreed, tweeting, “I loved working w/ @AlecBaldwin on Mini’s First Time, but we all knew @NikkiReed_I_Am was 16, during filming.”
While Mini’s First Time included sex scenes between Nikki and Alec, there was no nudity – and the filmmakers said this was because Nikki was underage.
Alec wrote in his book, “I was forty-seven, and it never occurred to me to ask how old Nikki Reed was. When I found out, just as we finished, that she was seventeen, I flipped out on the producers, who had told me something different.”
