Priyanka Chopra has posted a touching tribute to her close pal Meghan Markle, after she finally married Prince Harry over the weekend.
The actress was one of the many famous guests at the royal wedding on Saturday, which was watched by millions of people worldwide.
The wedding hit headlines for all the right reasons, and Priyanka has since said that it will “go down in history” as it “stood for change and hope”.
Taking to Instagram, Priyanka shared a picture of Meghan and Harry walking out of St. George’s Chapel, and wrote, “Every once in a while there is a moment when time stands still.. that happened today..”
Paying tribute to Meghan, she continued, “You my friend.. were the epitome of grace, love and beauty.”
“Every choice made at this wedding by you both will go down in history, not just because it was your wedding but because this incredible wedding stood for change and hope. Both things that the world needs desperately.
“Thank you for being the perfect picture of all things good.. seeing your union and love blessed in front of my eyes made me so happy.. and tear up!”
“I wish you both love happiness and togetherness always..,” she added.
Priyanka and Meghan have been friends for years, since meeting at an annual Women in Television dinner.
The actress wowed at the ceremony in a lilac Vivienne Westwood suit, Jimmy Choo heels, and a custom-made Philip Treacy hat.
For the exclusive private reception, which was held later in the evening at Frogmore House, Priyanka changed into a sparkling Dior number.
