Elle Fanning has excited Disney fans by sharing the first look at Angelina Jolie on set of Maleficent 2.
The actresses recently started filming the Disney sequel in the UK, four years after the blockbuster hit was released in cinemas.
Elle, 20, is reprising her role as Princess Aurora, and Angelina, 42, is returning as the iconic Maleficent.
Taking to Instagram this week, Elle posted some epic photos of her and Ange hanging out on set.
The blonde beauty had her hair in a pretty plait, while Angelina posed behind with her character’s horned headdress on.
A second image shows Elle laughing as Angelina flashed a peace sign, which she captioned, “It’s bring your mom to work day on the #Maleficent2 set.”
The 2014 film Maleficent was a surprising take on the iconic Disney fairytale Sleeping Beauty, which saw Maleficent become the one to wake Princess Aurora from her slumber with a kiss of true love.
The official synopsis for the sequel reads, “A fantasy adventure that picks up several years after Maleficent, in which audiences learned of the events that hardened the heart of Disney’s most notorious villain and drove her to curse a baby Princess Aurora.”
“Maleficent II continues to explore the complex relationship between the horned fairy and the soon to be Queen, as they form new alliances and face new adversaries in their struggle to protect the moors and the magical creatures that reside within.”
For the sequel, Michelle Pfeiffer has joined the cast as Queen Ingrith, along with Chiwetel Ejiofor and Robert Lindsay.
A release date for the sequel has not yet been confirmed.
