The comedian recently starred in his first major film

Pete Davidson is reportedly set to co-write and star in a new semi-autobiographical comedy, with director Judd Apatow.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the film will tell the story of Pete’s life in Staten Island, and his rise to fame.

The film will reportedly discuss his struggles with mental health, losing his firefighter father in the 9/11 attacks, and his high profile relationship with pop sensation Ariana Grande.

The 25-year-old most recently starred in Big Time Adolescence alongside his friend Machine Gun Kelly, which premiered at the Sundance Film Festival last week.

This will be Judd Apatow’s first film as a director since 2015’s Trainwreck, which starred Amy Schumer.

Judd is best known for his hit comedy films, like The 40-Year-Old Virgin, Knocked Up and This is 40.

The 51-year old has also been a writer and/or producer for TV shows like The Ben Stiller Show, Freaks and Geeks, and The Simpsons.

Pete is set to start shooting the semi-autobiographical comedy this summer.
