People are NOT happy about Kim Kardashian’s new ‘diet lollipop’ ad

The reality star has caused controversy once again

Kim Kardashian has been slammed by fans for promoting a ‘diet lollipop’.

On Tuesday, the mother-of-three posted an ad for Flat Tummy Co on Instagram.

Posting a picture of her sucking an “appetite suppressant lollipop”, the reality star wrote, “#ad You guys… @flattummyco just dropped a new product.”

“They’re Appetite Suppressant Lollipops and they’re literally unreal. They’re giving the first 500 people on their website 15% OFF so if you want to get your hands on some… you need to do it quick! #suckit.”

The lollipops retail at $49 for 60 in the US, and claim to keep “hunger under control and cravings in-check”.

The company’s website also reveals that each lollipop contains 35 calories, and they urge customers to have one “whenever you start to feel hungry”.

Fans were quick to call Kim out for the irresponsible post, which has since been deleted, including TV presenter Jameela Jamil.

Taking to Twitter, Jameela wrote, “No. F**k off. No. You terrible and toxic influence on young girls. I admire their mother’s branding capabilities, she is an exploitative but innovative genius, however this family makes me feel actual despair over what women are reduced to.”

“MAYBE don’t take appetite suppressors and eat enough to fuel your BRAIN and work hard and be successful. And to play with your kids. And to have fun with your friends. And to have something to say about your life at the end, other than ‘I had a flat stomach’.”

Meanwhile, the comment section under Kim’s Instagram post was flooded with hate, with one person commenting, “What a vile, abhorrent example to set for young people. You’re disgusting.”

Another wrote, “Times must be tough in the Kardashian’s household.. selling appetite suppressant lollipops.”
