Last night, The Hills: New Beginnings hit the nation’s screens for the first time.
The new installment of the show follows the lives of some of the original cast mates, along with some new faces including Mischa Barton and Brandon Lee.
Brandon is the 23-year-old son of Tommy Lee and Pamela Anderson, and on the premier episode of the new reality show, mum Pamela made a surprise appearance.
The Playboy star visited her son in his new home, and showed her motherly credentials by nagging him about the snacks he keeps in his kitchen cupboards.
“We have to have snacks in here, mom,” he teased, after she cast a disapproving look over his boxes of sugary cereal.
“People eat. You don’t eat.”
Pamela also took the time to sage her son’s new digs. Sageing is a ritual used to cleanse a space or environment of negative energy.
Brandon opened up about growing up with an actress mother and former Mötley Crüe drummer father.
“Growing up with my mom being a sex symbol and my dad being a rockstar was crazy,” he said.
Things between Brandon and his father Tommy have been notoriously fraught, with an altercation ending in a hospital stay for Tommy last year.
“Me and my dad have our ups and downs for sure,” he said.
“This guy got famous at 18 years old. And most people know that when you get famous at a certain age… you end up staying that age.”
The Hills: New Beginnings returns on Monday night.
