A drive-by shooting took place during Nipsey Hussle’s funeral procession on Thursday evening, leaving one person dead.

According to Los Angeles police, one person died and three more have been left injured after gunfire erupted along the rapper’s funeral procession route.

In a statement, Police Chief Michael Moore said on Twitter: “In the midst of this procession we have a multi-4 shooting at 103 St. and Main St.”

“Victims are 3 Male Blacks and 1 Female Black – ages from 30-50 years old. Tragically one is deceased.”

“Suspects in gray Hyundai fired on the victims,” he wrote, before adding, “We must stop this senseless violence.”

The shooting came just hours after Nipsey’s memorial took place at the Staples Center.

During the ceremony, the rapper’s longterm girlfriend Lauren London paid tribute to him during an emotional speech.

Nipsey died on March 31, after he was shot in the head and torso outside his Marathon Clothing store in Hyde Park.

Eric Holder has since been charged with his murder, but on April 4, he entered a plea of not guilty in court.
