Judith Regan is threatening to sue OJ Simpson over his claims that she scripted the decade old interview, which many people consider a confession to the double murder of Nicole Brown Simpson and Ron Goldman, which has just been published.
Judith’s lawyer spoke to TMZ and said that Simpson’s lawyer’s claim that “he went along [with the confession] because quite frankly he got a lot of money up front to go along with this”, was outrageous.
She earlier confessed that he had approached her with the project and that he wanted to call it “I Did It”.
Regan agreed to the project and paid OJ $1million.
OJ has disputed her version of events, suggesting that Regan scripted him and complained that she only wanted to make money.
It is unclear what Judith Regan might gain from suing as her claim would have to wait until the award of damages to the Ron Goldman Foundation and Nicole Simpson Brown charities has cleared.
Their successful claim for ‘wrongful death’ has risen to 70$ million dollar.
As part of their claim the foundations seized the copyright from OJ Simpson and Regan and published the book under the subtitle “Confession of the Killer” with proceeds going to charitable causes.
They continue to litigate OJ Simpson for payment.
