Nicole Richie has paid tribute to her beloved husband Joel Madden on his 40th birthday.
Taking to Instagram, the reality star shared a selfie that the pair took over 10 years ago.
She wrote, “Here we are at 25 & 27. Today you’re 40.”
“Happy Birthday to my P.I.C., my ride or die, & my best friend for life @joelmadden.”
Nicole and Joel have been married for nine years, and are parents to two children – Harlow, 11, and Sparrow, 9.
Of course, Joel shares a birthday with his famous twin, Benji Madden.
In a heartfelt Instagram post, Joel paid tribute to his brother by writing, “Happy Birthday to my partner and best friend @benjaminmadden We’ve been to hell and back and landed on our feet because of you and our wives.
“All my better halves. I would not be a husband or father if you didn’t push me to be the better version of myself. You lead quiet and by example. I’m blessed to follow my brother,” he added.
