Nicki Minaj has confirmed her relationship with convicted sex offender Kenneth Petty.
The rapper took Instagram to verify their relationship, sharing snaps of the pair with the caption: “Did you ever make it out of that town where nothing ever happens?… it’s no secret… that the both of us… are running out of time.”
According to TMZ, Kenneth was convicted of first-degree rape in April 1995, when he allegedly attempted to force a 16-year-old girl to have sex with him by using a sharp object.
He spent four years in the New York State prison, but soon after he was released he was found guilty of first-degree manslaughter – and spent another seven years in prison.
When the 36-year-old rapper confirmed her relationship with Kenny, fans took to social media to criticise her decision to date a convicted sex offender.
Since then, Nicki has turned off her Instagram comments, and even hit back at critics by posting another pic of the pair alongside the caption: “Oh they wanna talk? Let’s give’m smthn to talk about.”
