And it's much sooner than we thought!

Nicki Minaj has revealed that she’s set to wed her fiancé Kenneth Petty “in the next seven days.”

The rapper announced her engagement back in August on her Apple Music show Queen Radio, and then just last month – Nicki announced her retirement from music.

Speaking to E! News, Nicki confirmed that the pair have obtained a marriage license, and are set to tie the knot within the week.

“We’ve gotten our marriage license, but there’s a particular pastor who I want to officiate and so she was just made available as of today.”

“She told me she’s available within the next week, so we could be married in the next seven days,” she explained.

When reporters asked if she had picked a gown for the big day, she responded: “We’re not doing that yet, that’s too much. I can’t. There’s no way. That will take too long to plan.”

Nicki explained that the pair want to wed as soon as they can, and will have a more lavish wedding in time.

“I’m not good with that. I’m a procrastinator, so it would come in, like, two years from now.”

She also revealed that she plans on having children with her beau.

“I always said that I wanna be married if I have children, so just in case I have a child, then I would be married,” she said.

The couple’s engagement has been largely criticised by fans as Kenneth is a registered sex offender, and was convicted of attempted rape in the first degree in April 1995.

According to reports, Kenneth served four years in prison, and he also served 10 months in prison back in 2006 – after pleading guilty to first-degree manslaughter.
