A new report has claimed that Tom Cruise hasn’t seen his 12-year-old daughter Suri in “years”.
US Weekly have reported that the Hollywood actor is allowed visit his daughter for up to 10 days a month, but “chooses not to because she’s not a Scientologist”.
The outlet has claimed that Tom hasn’t seen his daughter in “years”, and they haven’t been pictured together since 2013.
Tom had Suri with actress Katie Holmes in 2006, the same year the couple tied the knot.
However, after six years of marriage, Tom and Katie parted ways in 2012. Suri continued to live with her mum following the split, but Tom was granted visiting rights.
Tom is one of the most well-known members of the Church of Scientology, and it’s believed Katie and Suri left the church after the divorce – which didn’t go down well with Misson Impossible star.
Before Katie, Tom married Nicole Kidman in 1990, and the pair adopted two children, Connor and Isabella, together.
However, the couple split in 2001, and it’s believed Nicole left the Church following their break up.
According to reports, Nicole remains estranged from their adopted children Connor and Isabella to this day, as they chose to stay with their dad and be raised within the Scientology community.
The news comes after Leah Remini recently claimed that Katie Holmes could “lose custody” of her daughter Suri Cruise if they spoke.
The actress, who was a Scientologist for over 30 years, has famously lifted the lid on the controversial religion in recent years, after she left the church in 2013.
Leah appeared on the cover of LaPalme magazine last month, in which she opened up about her fight against Scientology, and questioned why others haven’t spoken out against the church.
In her cover interview, Leah said: “I keep wondering – why haven’t Katie Holmes or Nicole Kidman spoken out? I assume they were forced to sign prohibitive documents.”
“Trust me, Katie’s not allowed to have a meal with me, and we used to be close friends. She could lose custody of Suri. It’s quite sick, really.”
Late last year, Katie finally went public with Jamie Foxx, despite the fact that the couple have been romantically linked since 2013.
After the pair were finally spotted showing some PDA out in public, it was reported that Katie and Jamie were forced to keep their romance under wraps for years due to a clause in her divorce settlement with Tom.
According to Radar Online, Katie agreed not to publicly date another man for five years after her split from Tom in exchange for $4.8 million in child support, plus another $5 million for herself.
An insider claimed, “Katie signed a clause in her quickie divorce settlement that prevents her from embarrassing Tom in various ways, like talking about him or Scientology, or publicly dating another man for five years after the divorce.
“She’s allowed to date, but she cannot do so in a public fashion, and she’s not supposed to let any boyfriend near their daughter, Suri. [She] got $4.8 million in child support, plus another $5 million for herself.”
