Leading music producer Mark Ronson revealed that he “stalked” Miley Cyrus for years while trying to get her to collaborate on a track with him.
The musical guru explained that he loved Miley’s distinctive vocals, and couldn’t wait to work with her.
He told the Irish Sunday Mirror newspaper: “I became obsessed with her voice and I managed to get her number and I lightly stalked her for years.”
“But she would never commit to anything and I’d just get this generic emoji back to the longest paragraph that I had written.”
The pair eventually collabed on their hit single Nothing Breaks Like A Heart.
Miley was so impressed by Mark’s lyrics and melody for Nothing Breaks Like a Heart, she asked to record it the following week.
Mark also discussed his well-documented relationship with Amy Winehouse – describing how the late singer was on her best behavior when they worked together.
“I met her at a time when she was really, really together, so when people would say to me ‘Oh, that Amy Winehouse, she’s a bit wild, right?’ I’d be like, ‘I have no idea what you’re talking about’.”
“This girl comes to the studio every day at 12 and we write some great sh*t and go shoot pool.”
