Miley Cyrus will get custody of all the pets she shared with Liam Hemsworth, according to a new report.

The actor filed for divorce from Miley on Wednesday, citing “irreconcilable differences”.

A source has since told TMZ that the singer will keep their seven dogs, two horses, two mini horses, three cats and pig – as she was the one to adopt them originally.

Although Miley was the one to adopt them, her and Liam both cared for their large brood of animals.

Just last year, the 26-year-old praised Liam for rescuing their pets before the Woolsey Fire destroyed their home in Malibu.

During a previous interview with Howard Stern, Miley said: “Liam, I have never loved him more for this. He was so incredible he got all the animals out in his truck, he got two pigs in crates which I tell you is so hard.”

The news comes after Miley’s rep confirmed their split on August 10, seven months after they got married in Tennessee.

In a statement, her spokesperson said: “Liam and Miley have agreed to separate at this time. Ever-evolving, changing as partners and individuals, they have decided this is what’s best while they both focus on themselves and careers.”

“They still remain dedicated parents to all of their animals they share while lovingly taking this time apart. Please respect their process and privacy.”

Just hours after confirming their split, Miley was papped kissing Brody Jenner’s ex Kaitlynn Carter.

Rumours were rife that Miley had been unfaithful to Liam, and that was the reason behind their split – but Miley has since denied claims that she cheated.
