Miley Cyrus is sober, engaged, and loving every second of it.
The pop star opened up about rekindling her relationship and giving up weed in an interview with Billboard magazine.
“I haven’t smoked weed in three weeks, which is the longest I’ve ever [gone without it],” she said. “I’m not doing drugs, I’m not drinking, I’m completely clean right now! That was just something that I wanted to do.”
Explaining why she made the decision to spend some time completely sober, Miley said, “I like to surround myself with people that make me want to get better, more evolved, open.
“And I was noticing, it’s not the people that are stoned. I want to be super clear and sharp, because I know exactly where I want to be.”
Where she wants to be right now is enjoying her life with Liam Hemsworth, who she got back together with a little over a year ago after spending over two years apart.
Miley is currently working on a new album due out later this year, and the first single Malibu – due out May 11th – is a love song about her relationship.
“They’re going to talk about me if I come out of a restaurant with Liam. So why not put the power back in my relationship and say, ‘This is how I feel’?” the star said.
Miley and Liam called off their engagement in September 2013, and she threw herself into her work because she “needed to change so much”.

“And changing with someone else not changing like that is too hard,” the Wrecking Ball singer explained. “Suddenly you’re like, “I don’t recognize you anymore.” We had to refall for each other.”
Meanwhile, Miley also admitted that she was surprised her infamous MTV Video Music Awards performance with Robin Thicke got so much attention.
“Dude, I was shocked that people gave a f*** about the twerking, the teddy bear,” she confessed. “It’s a totally different time, and I don’t think that would freak people out anymore.”
