Mike Myer has spoken out following the death of his Austin Powers co-star Verne Troyer.
The actors saw huge success acting alongside each other in the 1990s comedy movies and his tribute to his co-star has been tweeted.
Ryan Parker, a senior reporter at The Hollywood Reporter shared his statement as well as one from the director of the Austin Powers movies, after the 49-year-old ‘Mini-Me’ actor passed away following stint in hospital.

Myers said, “Verne was the consummate professional and a beacon of positivity for those of us who had the honor of working with him. It is a sad day, but I hope he’s in a better place. He will be greatly missed.”
While Austin Powers director Jay Roach said, “Verne was an amazing guy, a joyful collaborator, and a true master of comedic acting, a directors dream.”
Police recently got report a month ago that the actor was suicidal and drunk.
Troyer had battled alcoholism for many years and went to rehab on many ocassions.
