Melanie Griffith has revealed that she “adores” her daughter Dakota Johnson’s boyfriend, Chris Martin.
The actress has spoken out about Dakota and Chris’ romance for the first time, but respected her daughter’s privacy by not saying too much.
The Fifty Shades of Grey star and the Coldplay frontman have been romantically linked since October last year.
Speaking to the MailOnline about Chris, Melanie said, “I adore him!”
However, the 60-year-old added, “But she is very private about her life and I respect that.”
The 28-year-old actress and the 41-year-old singer are notoriously private, but their relationship was confirmed when they were spotted in Paris together back in December.
The pair were later spotted in Aspen, Colorado with her family.
Chris was previously married to Gwyneth Paltrow from 2003 until 2014, but they continue to co-parent their two children, daughter Apple, 13, and son Moses, 11.
