Macaulay Culkin has opened up about his friendship with Michael Jackson.
Macualay became friends with Michael when he was ten-years-old.
The Home Alone star has now defended his relationship with the King of Pop, as spoke about how “normal” it was on the ‘Inside of You’ podcast.
“He reached out to me because a lot of things were happening, big and fast with me and I think he identified with that,” Macaulay explained, speaking of his sudden rise to fame after starring in Home Alone.
“At the end of the day, it’s almost easy to say it was weird or whatever, but it wasn’t because it made sense. At the end of the day, we were friends.”
Macaulay described himself as a “peerless person” and said that people found his friendship with Michael strange because the singer “was the most famous person in the world.”
“For me, it’s so normal and mundane. I know it’s a big deal to everyone else, but to me, it was a normal friendship,” he added.
