Macaulay Culkin appears on Ellen for a rare interview

The Home Alone star revealed he doesn't go out around the holidays anymore

Macaulay Culkin rarely does interviews, but he did stop by The Ellen Show on Monday.

The talk show host took the opportunity to ask the 37 year old about his life as one of the most famous child stars of all time.

He was immediately asked about what it was like to be a child actor and getting access to his money for the first time.

“I felt like some kid worked really, really hard, and I inherited all of his money pretty much. But at the same time it allows me to treat everything as a hobby really,” he said.

He revealed that he’s since explored his passions in painting, writing and web design.

Ellen then showed a collection of photos from the child star’s long spanning career, which she had him explained.

He explained what it was like to be in a Michael Jackson music video, how he had memorized all his lines for Saturday Night Live when he was nine years old, and how he was in a band that covered The Velvet Underground songs, but rewrote the lyrics to be about pizza.

The former child actor also admitted to Ellen that he constantly has to deny people when they ask him to recreate his iconic face from Home Alone.
