Liam Hemsworth reportedly discovered that his marriage to Miley Cyrus was over via social media.
The actor was allegedly ‘blindsided’ by Miley’s statement confirming their split last month.
The statement came after photos surfaced of Miley kissing Kaitlynn Carter.
A Page Six source claims Hemsworth wasn’t ready to announce their separation at the time, as he was still privately fighting to save their relationship.
The Hunger Games actor has maintained a low profile since the split, spending time with friends and family in Australia.
He made one short public statement following the break up, via an Instagram post.
“Just a quick note to say that Miley and I have recently separated and I wish her nothing but health and happiness going forward.”
At the time of their slit a rep said: “Liam and Miley have agreed to separate at this time.”
“Ever-evolving, changing as partners and individuals, they have decided this is what’s best while they both focus on themselves and careers.”
