Lena Dunham isn’t ruling out a Girls sequel or movie

Lena Dunham has revealed that she isn’t ruling out a Girls sequel or movie.

The final season of Girls may be about to come to an end, but that hasn’t stopped star and series creator from thinking ahead to the show’s future.

Lena confessed that although the girls have agreed not to “push” the idea of a follow-up, there’s definitely still scope for them to revisit the characters at a later date.

Speaking to the Guardian she said, “We are not sick of our jobs. We understand when it’s time to hold ’em and when it’s time to fold ’em, but returning to these characters would be an amazing thing.

“I’ll have to examine how long they waited before that Sex and the City movie,” she said. “I think it was only a couple of years. We will see if people miss us the same way.

This isn’t the first time Lena has teased a movie, she told The Hollywood Reporter, “We’re doing the movie. I’d just want to leave enough space so that we are finding them in a super different place than we left them.”
