Lady Gaga just got a massive tattoo on her spine, dedicated to her film debut in A Star Is Born.

Taking to Instagram, the songstress shared a snap of her new ink – which features a line drawing of a rose all the way down her spine, with the words “la vie en rose” etched around it.

Of course, fans of the film will know that Gaga’s character sings her own version of Edith Piaf’s La Vie En Rose at the start of the movie.

She captioned the post, “Happy Valentine’s Day. A tattoo toast to ‘la vie en rose’ by the beautiful @winterstone my spinal cord is now a rose.”

The 32-year-old got the meaningful new ink ahead of this year’s Academy Awards.

A Star Is Born has landed eight Oscar nominations – including a Best Actress nod for Lady Gaga, Best Actor for Bradley Cooper, and Best Supporting Actor for Sam Elliot.

Bradley also earned a nomination for Best Adapted Screenplay, while the film was also nominated for Best Original Song (Shallow), Sound Mixing, Cinematography, and Best Picture.

The Academy Awards take place on Sunday February 24th, and as of now has no host, after Kevin Hart stood-down from the presenting role.
