Kylie Jenner deletes ‘insensitive’ Instagram caption after facing backlash

She probably should have thought this through...

INSTAGRAM

Kylie Jenner quickly deleted an Instagram caption, after a follower reminded her of the devastating Australian bushfires.

The 22-year-old shared a photo of herself in a yellow wig sitting in front of an open fire, and captioned the post: “find ur fire ????????.”

However, the reality star swiftly changed the caption to “night out..????” after an Instagram user pointed out the insensitive nature of the caption.

They commented: “If anyone needs fire… you can have ours – Australia.”

The news comes after Kylie’s sister Kim and Khloé Kardashian were forced to respond to critics, after they were accused of not donating to Australian fire relief.

Kim responded by tweeting: “Nothing gets me more heated than to see people think they know what we donated to and to think we have to publicise everything.”

A host of famous faces have donated millions to help fight the devastating wildfires in Australia.

Chris and Liam Hemsworth have donated $1 million, US singer Pink has pledged $500k, and Australian comedian Celeste Barber has managed to raise almost $40 million through an online fundraiser.

According to the latest reports, approximately 200 fires continue to burn across New South Wales and Victoria, destroying millions of acres of land.

Thousands have been forced to flee their homes, and it’s believed at least 24 people have been killed, with many others still unaccounted for.

It’s also been reported that almost a billion mammals, birds and reptiles have been killed in the fires since September.
