Kristin Cavallari ‘fires social media staffer’ over ‘insensitive’ 9/11 post

The post sparked serious backlash

Kristin Cavallari has reportedly fired a member of her social media team, after they posted an “insensitive” caption on her Instagram feed on 9/11.

The reality star came under fire after a social media staffer posted a photo of Kristin in New York on Wednesday, which marked 18 years since the September 11, 2001, attacks.

They captioned the post: “NYC for 24hrs. And what a time to be here..always remember.”

The Instagram post sparked serious backlash, and Kristin’s comment section was flooded with criticism.

One Instagram user commented: “Big fan of both you and your product, even visited your store when I was in Nashville this past year. But wrong photo with your message.”

“A low cut black dress with a smile shouldn’t be your look for today. Maybe throw on jeans and a t shirt and go visit one of those fire stations. Pay your respects.”

Another wrote: “This is super insensitive.”

Kristin’s Instagram caption has since been edited to read, “NYC for 24hrs.”

According to Page Six, the photo and caption was allegedly posted by a staffer without Kristin’s knowledge while she was at a fitting on Wednesday morning.
