Kim Kardashian has responded to her husband’s controversial comments on slavery.
The rapper appeared on TMZ last week and said that 400 year of slavery was “a choice” African American people made.
A source spoke to Us Weekly describing how his wife, the KUWTK star, felt about his comments.
The reality TV star was surprised by his comments with the source remarking, “Kim was really upset that Kanye chose to have a very serious discussion in a place like that. And because she wasn’t given a heads up about it beforehand.”
“Kanye shared a lot of his passionate words, which was important to him but had they been said in a different setting and time, they would have come across in a different way,”
“A lot of things he said were very serious. If he had said them in different, more planned out way it would be a different story, even positive, ” the source continued before concluding, “Kim is trying to be a supportive wife … but it is hard.”
Kris Jenner has also addressed his controversial comments which saw him face backlash from the public and celebrities, including his concerned friend, John Legend.
