Kim Kardashian has opened up about the aftermath of the leak of her sex tape.
The 37-year-old hit headlines in 2007 when a sex tape from 2003 of her and her then-boyfriend, Ray J, was leaked.
The mother-of-three has now opened up about the infamous scandal which shot her into stardom, as she spoke to Bret Easton Ellis for the 20th anniversary of ‘Richardson’.
Kim compared the reaction to her sex tape, to the aftermath of Paris Hilton’s viral tape in 2004.
“I thought that for Paris, it was explosive and a super lot of attention for her too, in a positive way,” she revealed.
“But once you go through it and you have those conversations with your parents and grandparents and everyone that you’d be really embarrassed about it with, I think you get to a point where you’re like, ‘OK, we’re dealing with this legally, and it’s time to move on.'”
‘Everyone deals with things differently and I seem to deal with things — whether the sex tape, the robbery [in Paris], even the death of my dad [Robert Kardashian], who was the most important person in my life — I push to just overcome it,” the KUWTK star continued.
“I just don’t have a victim mentality. That’s never been my personality. I’ve always been like, the victor — ‘I can get past this, and this will not define me,'” she finished.
