Kim Kardashian is meeting Donald Trump to discuss the US prison system

Kim Kardashian is set to meet Donal Trump this week.

The reality star is going to meet the President on Wednesday, to discuss prison reform and request the pardon of 62-year-old Alice Johnson.

Johnson, who is a great-grandmother is serving a life sentence without parole for a first-time drug offense.

The story came to the attention of Kim on Twitter earlier this year. Ever since then the 37-year-old has been campaigning for her release. Vanity Fair reported that Kim first reached out to Ivanka Trump to help with the case.

Kim’s husband Kanye West is an outspoken supporter of Trump, he has frequently worn one of the infamous ‘Make America Great Again’ red caps.

However, neither Kanye nor any other member of her Kardashian family will be in attendance at the scheduled meeting.

She will first meet with the President’s son-in-law, Jared Kushner, before meeting with Trump himself and pleading for the pardon of Ms. Johnson.
