Kevin Hart has been injured after being involved in a single car incident in Malibu, California.
His injuries have been described as “major” by highway patrol police.
Producer, actor and director Jared Black was reportedly driving Hart’s car when it veered into a ditch off the highway.
According to TMZ, the car went through a wooden fence off the side of Malibu’s Mulholland Highway.
A third passenger was also in the car.
The roof of the vehicle was reportedly crushed on impact, leading to the three being trapped inside.
Hart was treated at the nearest hospital after he “sustained major back injuries,” in the incident on Sunday, California Highway Patrol told E! News.
The comedian had purchased the new car for himself as a birthday gift in July.
