Many people make a drastic change to their appearance after a breakup, and Katy Perry has done just that.
The pop star has just unveiled a dramatic new look after shaving part of her hair off.
Katy shared a video to Instagram on Thursday which showed her with a crop of platinum blonde hair, but when she lifted it up the shaved sides were revealed.
Many of the singer’s fans were quick to point out that the look was similar to Miley Cyrus’s, but also said how much they loved it.
“cash me outside howbow dah S/O @mrchrismcmillan and @justinandersoncolor & @riderdyehair for that platinum status,” she captioned it.
Katy’s new look comes after it was announced on Monday that she and Orlando Bloom have ended their one-year romance.
“Before rumors or falsifications get out of hand, we can confirm that Orlando and Katy are taking respectful, loving space at this time,” a joint statement read.
News of the split was revealed after LAgoss.com exclusively published photos and videos of Orlando laughing and whispering with Erin McCabe at a pre-Oscars party.
