Kanye West announces he is distancing himself from politics because he feels ‘used’

Kanye West has announced that he is distancing himself from politics because he feels “used.”

The 41-year-old has been very open about his political stance and support for Donald Trump, which has caused outrage amongst many of his fans and fellow celebrities.

The rapper sparked huge backlash in recent months especially, as he suggested that the thirteenth amendment should be abolished and recently met with the president in the White House.

The father-of-three has now announced in a string of tweets that he will distance himself from politics.

“I support creating jobs and opportunities for people who need them the most, I support prison reform, I support common-sense gun laws that will make our world safer,” he told fans, weeks after Kim Kardashian stated that he wants to employ ex-convicts in Yeezy factories.

“I support those who risk their lives to serve and protect us and I support holding people who misuse their power accountable. I believe in love and compassion for people seeking asylum and parents who are fighting to protect their children from violence and war,” Kanye continued.

The rapper then stated that he “had nothing to do” with the controversial ‘Blexit’ t-shirts which are part of a campaign to urge African-American voters to leave the Democratic Party.

Over the weekend a spokesperson for Turning Point USA’s Young Black Leadership Summit, where the t-shirts were being sold, told the New York Post that Kanye had designed the campaign shirts.

The 41-year-old has now stated that he feels “used” and tweeted: “I would like to thank my family, loved ones, and community for supporting my ACTUAL beliefs and my vision for a better world.”

Kanye also told fans that he will distance himself from politics as his “eyes are now wide open”.
