James Franco skips Critics’ Choice Awards in the midst of sexual allegations

James Franco didn’t attend the Critic’s Choice Awards – after reports surfaced that five women accused him of sexual misconduct.

He won Best Actor at the awards for his role in Disaster Artist, but was nowhere to be seen when his win was announced.

The actor’s absence comes a week after he accepted his gong for Best Actor in a Musical or Comedy at the Golden Globes.

James had already spoken out about the allegations on several talk shows in the US.

“I have my own side of this story,” he said.

“But I believe in these people that have been underrepresented getting their stories out enough that I will hold back things that I could say just because I believe in it that much.”

But this week more women came forward, saying they felt extremely uncomfortable on set with the actor, especially during sex scenes.
