Ja Rule responds to criticism following release of documentaries about Fyre Festival

Ja Rule has responded to criticism following the release of two new documentaries about the Fyre Festival.

Ja Rule and event organiser, Billy McFarland, faced huge criticism and legal action after the 2017 ‘festival’ saw some extreme problems with regards to food, accommodation and artist relations.

While Billy was sentenced to six years in jail for wire fraud, Ja Rule did not face the same backlash and has now taken to Twitter to say that he would “never scam” anyone and hit back at critics following the documentaries’ release.

The 42-year-old took to the social media platform and said: “So it’s impossible for me to TRUST someone with my vision and them completely f**k it up??? And it wasn’t my money so when I asked questions I was lied to…”

The rapper continued to say that he didn’t scam anyone and claimed that he has “receipts” and added: “I will tell my truth real soon.”

“I too was hustled, scammed, bamboozled, hood winked, lead astray!!!” the father-of-three tweeted.

“I had an amazing vision to create a festival like NO OTHER!!! I would NEVER SCAM or FRAUD anyone what sense does that make???” he said earlier in the day, before the rapper said that he “never made or got paid one dollar from Fyre.”
