Ja Rule apologises to Fyre Festival caterer Maryann Rolle – who lost $50,000 of her savings due to the festival

Ja Rule has apologised to Fyre Festival caterer, Maryann Rolle – who says she lost $50,000 of her personal savings as a result of the festival.

The 42-year-old was the co-founder of the infamous festival, alongside Billy McFarland who has been sentenced to six years in jail for wire fraud.

Ja has now apologised to Bahamian caterer, Maryann Rolle, after she appeared on a new Netflix documentary, Fyre: The Greatest Party That Never Happened, and revealed the chaos and “hurt” she went through because of the festival.

Ja apologised to the businesswoman on Instagram, as he shared a photo of her and wrote: “My heart goes out to this lovely lady… MaryAnne Rolle we’ve never met but I’m devastated that something that was meant to be amazing, turn out to be such a disaster and hurt so many ppl…”

“SORRY to anyone who has been negatively effected by the festival… Rule.”

A GoFundMe page was recently set up for Maryann to raise the money she lost from the festival and the crowdfunding page has already raised over $159,000 in eight days.

The caterer has since told TMZ that she doesn’t know if Ja was aware of the “pain and heartache” that she went through and said that she was glad that he apologised.

“If he is sorry he should be donating something to me. Sorry is more than a wore, it’s an action. So I hope he puts his ‘sorry’ into action,” she added.

The businesswoman also said that she hopes the rapper will donate “$100k”, as she still needs to pay staff and bills for the festival.
