Irish born costume designer Consolata Boyle has been nominated for an Oscar.
Consolata designed the costumes for the movie “Victoria and Abdul”, on which Dame Judi Dench stars.
The movie follows the relationship between Queen Victoria and her Indian servant, Abdul Karim. It is directed by Stephen Frears, whom Consolata has worked with before on “The Queen” and “Philomena”.
The costume design in “Victoria and Abdul” is absolutely stunning, taking inspiration from he Victorian era and India.
