House of Cards star Robin Wright says Kevin Spacey deserves a second chance

Kevin Spacey’s former co-star Robin Wright has said the disgraced actor deserves a second chance.

The Hollywood star was accused of sexual misconduct in October last year by actor Anthony Rapp, and later multiple allegations by House of Cards production staff came to light.

Speaking for the first time about the allegations, which led Kevin to being dropped from the series, Robin said everyone deserves a second chance.

“I believe every human being has the ability to reform,” she told Net-A-Porter’s edit magazine.

“In that sense, second chances, or whatever you are going to call it, absolutely I believe in that. It’s called growth.”

After Kevin was dropped from the show, Netflix announced it would air a sixth season of the show all focused on Robin’s character Claire Underwood.

Robin said that the show nearly got cancelled completely after the ordeal.

“The air was thick, you know. Harvey Weinstein…People were [saying], ‘We have to shut everything down or otherwise it will look like we are glorifying and honouring this thing that’s dirty.'”

Last month the LA County District Attorney’s Office was reported to be investigating a new allegation against Kevin, meaning that now more than 30 men have accused him of sexual misconduct.

The sixth season of House of Cards is due for release in November.
