Here’s why fans are doubting if Jake Paul and Tana Mongeau’s engagement is real

This weekend, two of TouTube’s biggest creators Jake Paul and Tana Mongeau got engaged.

At Tana’s 21st birthday party in Los Vegas, Jake got down on one knee as the words “will you marry me Tana?” were projected around the room.

Tana then took to social media to announce the engagement, saying “JAKE JUST PROPOSED.”

“i’m……. engaged………………” she tweeted.

Jake Paul also tweeted “i proposed” on his account yesterday.

Jake used a Ring Pop to propose, before Tana later uploaded snaps of a real sparkler on her ring finger.

Tana also posted a story on her Instagram showing a birthday cake with the words “Will you marry me, Tana?” written on it.

However, fans of the YouTubers are doubting whether or not the engagement is legitimate.

Both content creators have a penchant for pranks, and Jake Paul previously admitted that his past relationship with Erika Costell was “fake.”

“We’re not even actually dating. It’s like the WWE,” he told The New York Times back in 2017.

“People know that’s fake, and it’s one of the biggest things of entertainment.”

Jake, who has 19 million YouTub subscribers, and Tana who has 4.5 million, are also both known for intentionally creating controversial content.

They have already created a number of videos together, and crated merchandise to promote their relationship.

Thousands have taken to the replies and comments sections of the pair’s social media to query whether or not they are really engaged.

However, Tana replied to one such naysayer to confirm the legitimacy of her engagement.

“If this is fake. I’m going to be pissed,” wrote one fan.

Tana replied: “it’s not. i’m engaged. holy f*ck.”
